Regency or William IV Rosewood Veneered Library Table with End Supports
A fine Regency or later rosewood veneered piece in very good condition, with a highly-figured top that has rounded corners, over a plain frieze with projecting moulding at the lower edge, on bearers on substantial end supports of tapering & stepped cylindrical form, on cylindrical bases with formed & moulded tops, projecting beams with rounded ends on bun feet, on brass fittings and timber casters, the bases united by a turned and symmetrically tapering stretcher, this impressive library table will command the most elegant of reception halls or salons, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will certainly attract.
O/All Length 121cm x Width 60cm (47.75" x 23.75") & Height 74.5cm (29.25")
This piece dates from around 1820-40, so you may expect the mature character & patina that only develops with considerable age but, otherwise, it's in very good, clean & sound condition, ready to use in your home.
