Louis XVI Style Giltwood & Upholstered Reproduction 'Fauteuil' Armchair by Balzarotti of Paris

A top quality reproduction piece, made by Balzarotti of Paris, makers of fine Louis style furniture since 1936, this example probably dates from the 1990s but certainly post-1988 and is in very good condition with only very minor wear & tear, presented in antique patinated lacquer in a dark cream, with elaborately carved show-frame and upholstered back, seat & arm-rests, covered in a pale fabric, decorated with gold trefoil botanical motifs, all on tapering circular & fluted legs, this gorgeous French 'Fauteuil' will impress in any elegant home, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in style, fully deserving of the envious attention it will surely attract.

This is a second-hand piece from the late 20thC, so you may expect a little minor wear & tear commensurate with age & normal use, including a few small dark spots on the seat but otherwise the chair is in good, clean & sound condition, ready to use in your home.

Glossary: A 'Fauteuil' is a wooden seat in the form of an armchair with open sides and upholstered arms.
