A remarkable pair of c1970s continental Empire style side chairs in good condition, solid & heavy, stained as mahogany, with curved back-rests on inverse tapering supports that are contiguous with sabre rear legs, looped splats, over upholstered seats covered in a dark brown tafeta fabric on a solid frame and sabre front legs, these chairs cost around £500 each when new and will impress in any elegant home, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in design, fully-deserving of the admiring attention they will undoubtedly attract.

These chairs date from the 1970s, so you may expect wear & tear commensurate with age & normal use, including cosmetic blemishes to both upholstery & frames, a small wear spot on one seat and, in particular, a tear in the fabric to the underside of one chair but, otherwise, they are in good, clean & sound condition and are ready to use in your home. If you prefer, I can have them professionally re-upholstered at a cost of £250 plus a fabric of your choice.

I will deliver this item myself for £15 only within a 25 mile radius of Brackley in Northamptonshire, £35 only within a radius of 26-50 miles or up to £75 only within a radius of 51-100 miles. Where possible, I will quote at commercial rates for distances over 100 miles or try www.shiply.com for couriers with part loads but, in all cases where you are considering a purchase, please let me have your PostCode so I may confirm the delivery cost. Alternatively, you are welcome to collect the item yourself.

I am open to enquiries from outside the UK and I can arrange shipment to the USA & Europe. However, please bear in mind that shipping costs may be prohibitive and will include my own expenses.
