An attractive early Victorian mahogany piece in good condition, with richly-grained top and chamfer-moulded edges to front & sides, over a plain frieze that incorporates two in-line drawers (one of which, oddly, is deeper than the other) with turned pull-handles, the corner posts terminating in inverted turned finials, supported on inverse-tapering columns with moulded plinth, on platform bases on turned bun feet and united by a shaped plank stretcher, this generously-proportioned writing table will impress in the most elegant of homes, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will surely attract.

This piece dates from around 1840-60, so you may expect the mature character & patina of age, together with wear & tear commensurate with normal use but it's otherwise in good, clean & sound condition, ready to use in your home.
