A sturdy and classic set of early Victorian mahogany chairs in good, sound condition, the upholstery worn but serviceable, with concave & rolled back-rest and lobed bar-back, supported on shaped uprights, contiguous with the sabre rear legs, the seats over-stuffed and covered in a crimson flocked fabric with braided trim, on turned & tapering front legs, these stylish and immensely practical chairs will offer good, long service in any elegantly-appointed dining room, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in taste, fully-deserving of the admiring attention of your guests.

NB: I can have them re-upholstered at a cost of £40-£50 per chair, plus your choice of fabric & braid.

These chairs date to around the middle of the 19thC, so you may expect the mature character & patina of age, together with wear & tear commensurate with normal use. There is a little old woodworm in one or two of the seat frames but it's no longer active and has, in any event, now been treated for your additional peace of mind. The upholstery is worn but serviceable and, in all other respects, these chairs are in good, clean & sound condition and are ready to use in your home.

I will deliver this item myself for £15 only within a 25 mile radius of Brackley in Northamptonshire, £35 only within a radius of 26-50 miles or up to £75 only within a radius of 51-100 miles. Where possible, I will quote at commercial rates for distances over 100 miles or try www.shiply.com for couriers with part loads but, in all cases where you are considering a purchase, please let me have your PostCode so I may confirm the delivery cost. Alternatively, you are welcome to collect the item yourself.

I am open to enquiries from outside the UK and I can arrange shipment to the USA & Europe. However, please bear in mind that shipping costs may be prohibitive and will include my own expenses.
