Early Victorian Rosewood 4-Tier Etagere or 'What-Not'

A fine rosewood veneered piece from around 1840-60, in good condition, with figured tiers on slender ring-turned and inverse-tapering baluster supports on block corners, on bun feet with recessed brass casters, this elegant etagere or 'what-not' will impress in the most tastefully-appointed of reception rooms, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in style, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will undoubtedly attract.

Height to Third Tier 94.75cm (37.25"), to Second Tier 52.5cm (c20.75") & to Lowest Tier 10.25cm (4")

This piece dates from around the middle of the 19thC, so you may expect the mature character & patina of age, including a large ring-mark to the top, dark line marks, particularly to the second tier and some variability in colour, as a result of differing exposure to sunlight, together with wear & tear commensurate with normal use, including a small loss of veneer to the 'rear' edge of the third tier and also to the ring moulding above the right-hand 'rear' bun foot but, in all other respects, it's in good, clean & sound condition, ready to use in your home.
