A beautiful example from around 1880-1900 and in very good condition, with line inlaid bar & spindle back, elaborated with delicately carved splat of ribboned swags & scrolls and inlaid with decorative marquetry to the central shield and top rail, with an over-stuffed seat now re-upholstered and covered in a pale, striated cotton fabric of indeterminate colour and matching braided trim, on a line-inlaid and swagged frame with corner blocks, on ring-turned & tapering front legs and sabre rear, this exceptional rosewood salon chair will charm in the most elegant of reception rooms, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will undoubtedly attract.

This piece dates from the very end of the 19thC, so you may expect the mature character & patina of age, together with minor wear & tear commensurate with normal use, including very small losses of line inlay and old repairs but, in all other respects, it's in very good, clean & sound condition and is ready to use in your home.
