$167.51

Early 20thC Mahogany Chippendale Style Carver Chair in the manner of Hampton & Sons of Pall Mall

A great quality mahogany Chippendale style piece from c1900-40, in good condition with interlaced open-work splat, scroll-moulded back-rest with decorative embellishment, on moulded up-rights that are contiguous with the square, sabre-shaped rear legs and support shaped arm-rests with scrolled hand-holds on moulded & shaped supports, on quarter-moulded seat frame with a drop-in seat pad that is covered in a pale green & cream fabric, on cabriole front legs with scrolled wings, terminating in substantial ball & claw feet, this imposing carver will impress in any elegantly-appointed home, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will surely attract.

Max. Width at Hand-Holds 59cm x Depth to Front of Seat 53cm & O/All Depth 59.5cm (23.25" x 20.75" & c23.5")
Height to Centre of Back 99.5cm (39.25") & Height to Seat Frame 46cm (c18")

This chair dates from the early part of the 20thC, so you may expect wear & tear commensurate with age & normal use, including noticeable cosmetic wear to the feet and a few minor losses to the chair backs but, barring only the drop-in seat pad, it's in good, clean & sound condition for its age and ready to use in your home.

NB: You will probably wish to re-upholster the drop-in seat pad and I can arrange for this to be done using a fabric of your choice at a cost of £50. In the meantime, it's perfectly serviceable as it is.
