An impressive 20thC Chippendale style mahogany piece in very good condition, having a console top with gadrooned mouldings to front & side edges, on turned balusters to the rear and bowed tusk-like front supports, over a V-section trough with oriental style fretwork dividers and end panels, X-frame sides and cylindrical ring-turned supports to all four corners, over tapering legs with pad feet, united by crossed & turned stretchers with a central block, this remarkable book trough will charm in the most elegant of living rooms, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in style, fully-deserving of the envious attention it will surely attract.
