Small Mahogany Wine Table with Rectangular Top & Tripod Base
A small but sturdy mahogany piece dating probably from the early 19th Century, with nicely-figured rectangular top and rounded corners, together with reeded & bevelled edges on an impressive turned baluster support on tripod base with umbrella stay legs, this occasional or wine table has a presence that belies its modest proportions and it will impress in any elegantly-appointed home, fully-deserving of the admiring attention of your guests.
Length of Top 47cm x Width 36.25cm (18.5" x 14.25")
Height ca 52cm (20.5")
This is an early 19thC piece, so you may expect the mature character & patina of considerable age, together with un-sightly but secure dilapidations and repairs to the tripod base, including old woodworm holes in two of the legs, an old but secure repair to one leg in particular and another secure repair where the leg has been glued to the central boss but, otherwise, it's in presentable, clean & sound condition and ready to use in your home.
