Late Georgian Mahogany Corner Washstand
A classic late Georgian mahogany piece, most likely from the reign of George III and in very good condition for its age, the top with circular voids for a (jug &) bowl & 2 pots, the large opening with concave moulded edge, rounded splash-backs to each side and a later, removable cover, on square supports, outswept at the front and carrying a mid-height cabinet that has a central drawer and two false drawer fronts to the sides, all with decorative round brass pull-handles, also joined by a lower tricorn stretcher incorporating a ring jug-plate with moulded up-stand, this lovely corner washstand will charm in any elegantly furnished living or guest room and is sure to attract the admiring attention of your visitors.
